To Springboarders everywhere (Employees, Clients, and Friends), 

As we step into the new year, I want to take a moment to welcome everyone back to work, reflect on the year just passed, and look at what’s in store for 2023. 

2022 was an exciting and eventful year. We saw major global events such as the War in Ukraine, a new Monarch, Floods in Pakistan, and the Football World Cup. Here in Australia we saw devastating floods and welcomed a new Prime Minister, amongst many other notable events. 

More relevant to the digital marketing industry, we saw cyber-attacks on Australian businesses, chaos at Twitter, and a continued advancement of AI. For me, these are events that will have a significant impact on our industry now and in the years to come. At a high level, what we’ve learnt from these events is that the digital space is constantly evolving, so brands need to look at increasing their focus on building trust with clients, stay vigilant against potential threats, navigate the dynamic social media landscape, and embrace new technologies to help gain a competitive advantage.

Here at Springboard, 2022 was a year of growth and success. We delivered outstanding results for our existing clients, welcomed many exciting new clients, and added a number of incredibly talented team members to our family who are passionate about our industry and committed to delivering amazing work.

I am also proud to see the professional growth of our team members, as they stepped up into increased leadership roles, took on new responsibilities, and met challenges head-on. It has been a joy to see the team thrive in these new roles, and it is a pleasure to work with such a high-performing team every day. 

Looking ahead to 2023, I feel a sense of excitement and cautious optimism. While the economic outlook may be uncertain, I firmly believe that the opportunity for businesses to thrive online and for digital marketing to be a significant part of that success is stronger than ever. Our team is well-rested and eager to help our clients achieve this success in the months and years ahead.
